So I mentioned already, that my scanner said goodbye to me - well not completely, it still works, but leaves a really big black line in the middle of the scanned picture, unable to do anything with the picture itself. I brought it today a Canon service but they said, they cannot get any part for this model - they could have been exchanged it to a new one, if my guarantee would been valid. But it wasn't it expired some months ago. Well, I always had a great timing, indeed.
So Ellie has to buy a new one, and for that I would like to ask, if some of you could tell me some opinions about this model? www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,…
I have to state, Im not a professional photographer, so the film-slide scanner is only a secondary option here. But the 4800x9600 dpi with a price like this, sounds really nice. I've read really mixed reviews on the internet this far, so at the moment, Im really perplexed. :B

[link] I actually highly recommend this. I recently bought this a few months ago and it works like a charm, very easy, great crystal clear results, it's resolution is also 4800 x 9600 dpi, and if you're not doing artwork or photography for it you can use it to copy pages from a textbook when doing homework, it opens up the top like a book so the textbook can be open and lay completely flat on the scanner whilst being scanned.
